03.25.09 Find Others In Your Niche To Build Backlinks  By Matthew Elshaw A common way to get targeted backlinks to your site is to find others in your niche and request to exchange links. You may even want to compile a list of related sites and employ some link baiting tactics. Whatever your strategy, finding other sites in your niche can be tough, so here are 5 tips to help you get started. Probably the most basic of all tips, conduct searches across all major search engines for your top 10 keywords. Using a wide variety of search engines is important as each is going to have different results. Also try some social media search sites like twitter search and technorati to uncover even more pages. 2. Use the 'related:' search operator The 'related:' search operator looks for sites that have a similar backlink profile to the site submitted. Find sites with the same social media tags Use the site Similicio.us to find domains that are commonly related with yours across social media bookmarking services. 4. Visit their traffic rankings section and click on 'related sites'.
