Hello Readers,
I've gotten LOTS of requests for peer website reviews. To the editor, these requests
are golden - they are an opportunity for me to really help one reader and, in
the process, provide some excellent content to everyone else. The peer review
takes lots of time though, and meanwhile I've got a mountain of requests.

Today's top article, by Charlene Rashkow, is the first attempt at using some of
these requests in a different way - Charlene visited fours reader sites and critiqued
their web copy. I hope you find this experiment useful.
Today's feature article ran in ITManagementNewz, one of WebProCA's sister publication,
and explains how you can tell if your software is ready for the mass market.
I hope you find today's issue useful, and if you'd like your webcopy reviewed,
send
me an email. Your site will also be considered for peer review.
Let me know if you have any
ideas for other ways to use the requests for peer reviews I've gotten.
Best Wishes, Garrett

Better Writing, Better Business: 4 Web Copy
Reviews
A few days ago when I spoke with Garrett to discuss some ideas I had for new articles,
he told me that he had countless requests for web site reviews. It seemed like
a great opportunity to share my opinion on specific sites so I offered to write
some reviews in lieu of an article.
However, once I had a chance to look at the sites, I noticed that all the requests
expressed more concern for finding the right key words and meta tags than they
did for writing energetic, effective copy that attracts... Read

to Feed Content-Hungry Site Visitors
Writing good web content is a lot like planning a big dinner party. You're looking
forward to having lots of guests, but you're not sure about when they'll arrive
or how hungry they'll be. You know Deborah will only nibble on the salad, Laura

As an experienced party planner, you'll accommodate your guests' diverse appetites.
A good web writer does the same thing - accommodates the appetites of all content-hungry
visitors by providing different amounts of content for different users. Read

Affiliates, Avoid These Two Big Mistakes
You hear the success stories and you see the potential for earning an income on
the internet. Mistake number one to avoid is jumping in and joining a bunch of
affiliate programs, then picking up the services and software that you're told
you need for marketing, here and there, willy-nilly, spending way too much money,
and then making your-self crazy keeping it all straight and trying to make it
all work together. Do yourself a favor and do some research. Then make a plan.

Blat is a Public Domain Windows 95/NT console utility that
sends the contents of a file in an e-mail message using the SMTP protocol. Blat
is useful for creating scripts where mail has to be sent automatically (CGI, backups,
etc.), or just as a quick way to send a file or message quickly from the command
